From the yacht to the cruise ship: in shipbuilding Metawell^® aluminium panels are predominantly used in interior outfitting. The lightweight aluminium sandwich panels can be manufactured and finished in nearly any length – perfectly suited for realising even the most complex custom solutions. Also possible: fast-track building systems using Metawell^® aluminium panels with standard fastener profiles for the easiest possible installation.

Wall linings
Large format Metawell^® aluminium sandwich panels can be used on a ship as walls or wall linings. They can be integrated into any interior design with paints, print, film-coating or HPL designs. Curved parts and handrail linings are implemented with the easily formable Metawell^® Aluflex^®. This enables custom interior designs for bars, lounges, theatres or discotheques to be realised with hardly any technical limitations.

Ceiling elements
Large sized ceiling elements made from Metawell^® aluminium sandwich panels require only a simple substructure. With the lightweight yet dimensionally stable Metawell^® aluminium panels, self-supporting suspended ceiling canopies or projecting ceiling domes can be realised in addition to classic lay-in solutions.

Raised floors
To minimize assembly time and expentidure the grid width of the substructure for raised floors is simply adapted to the formats of the Metawell^® aluminium sandwich panels. The Metawell^® aluminium panel Alu hl 10-03-10 hl / H6 is used in areas that have higher requirements for the compressive strength of the panels.

Ship furniture and special fixtures
Because of their good sound attenuation characteristics and their bending strength, Metawell^® aluminium panels are used for the construction of ship furniture and special fixtures. Metawell^® provides various panel types for portlights and shaped furniture parts, depending on application and the load-bearing requirements.
